For
some people, creating a website is a simple task since even children
nowadays are being taught how to make their own at school. However,
creating an efficient
website is a different story altogether and this is something that
businesses, institutions, and perhaps, individuals should have.
Rather than making one entirely from basic HTML, there is a reason
why there are professional
web designers around.
A
good website design needs to blend aesthetics with convenience to
make it user-friendly, although functionality is given a lot of
importance as well. Websites shouldn't only be pleasing to look at
and easy to use, but they should also present an influx of valuable
information (e.g. about section, queries, products, and services).
With these features, visitors will have no problem learning about the
company and their offerings, which could potentially lead to a sale.
An
efficient website loses its luster quickly if it crashes the moment a
user opens an image or video file. Being forced to navigate through
various web pages just to access a particular page is also a mark of
bad website design, especially if the site doesn't even have a site
map. As much as possible, a website should always have enough
relevant information to keep the target audience engaged, especially
if it is a niche audience like scientists or lawyers.
